Read or watch it twice to get a good knowledge of the story. 

Whilst reading or listening to the story, think about how the old lady is feeling. Put a tick in the box that shows how the old lady was feeling at each point in the story.

Challenge – Can you find any words or quotes in the story that let you know how the old lady is feeling.

Science experiment

Watch a block of ice melt and record the changes. Understand what happens to the particles in ice when it melts and act this out. We would love to see a video of you acting out what happens.

You will need to freeze a bowl of water in your freezer.

Time how long it takes for the ice to melt. How long does it take?

How could you make the ice melt faster?

How could you make the ice melt slower?

What would happen if you put salt on it? Can you do the experiment again and add salt and see if there are any difference?
